How to Register with the State and Obtain the Patient ID
Must be completed before your initial certification appointment
First, create a profile with on the PA Medical Marijuana Program Registry. You will need a valid PA Driver’s License or State ID card in order to complete this step.

The registration form can be quite finicky so make sure to follow these rules:

Type all information (except email, username, and password) in ALL CAPITALS.

Type your name and address with the EXACT words and abbreviations as it appears on your license or state ID.

Ex.) If your address if 123 MAIN ST on your license, DO NOT type 123 MAIN STREET

Do not use any punctuation such as commas or periods when typing your address.

Do not enter spaces between the numbers in the driver’s license or PennDOT-issued ID card number.
If you did not enter the information exactly right or your driver's license or state ID is invalid, you will see the following message and will need to try entering the information again.
After registration, you will receive an email with your Patient ID number. This will also be available through the website on your profile. Please save this 6 digit Patient ID number and have it ready for your certification appointment with the physician as this number will be necessary for the physician to approve you for your medical card.
